TR Basketball Academy was a great introduction to the sport for our three children. They steadily built up the skills and confidence required to play league games. Firm friendships were made and great fun was had along the way. Thanks to Coach Praha and his assistants for their invaluable guidance.

My daughters attended the camps run by Praha for a number of years. The camp was fantastic, and the staff were really friendly and caring. The camp maintained high standards of care while producing a wide variety of activities over the years. They transitioned to the basketball academy classes, especially my younger daughter where she developed knowledge and skills on the court. From there went on to join the basketball team which she thoroughly enjoys and can't wait to get back to when the Level 5 restrictions are lifted.

My daughter was lucky to participate in a couple of classes before lockdown came she absolutely loved it! She’s quiet shy and I could see how confident she was becoming each week with the encouragement from her coaches in the weekly lessons. Coaches are all great with the kids and really show an interest in improving the kids’ basketball skills while making sure the kids are enjoying the lesson. A lovely group of kids down there too. My daughter has made some great friends. Would definitely recommend.

My 3 children started at 4 years of age and have gone through TR Academy and loved every minute! They are encouraged and supported to meet and realise their full potential through fun and in an inclusive manner. They’re now active team players and love the game, and made friends outside of school with a common interest.

My daughter joined TR Basketball Academy, 5 years ago and over the past 3 years has played on a team for Northside Eclipse and now Tolka Rovers. My youngest who is now 7 started in the Academy 3 years ago. From the outset Praha and all the team are friendly and warm and really put the children at ease. They consistently motivate and actively support each child to do their best. There are plenty of weekly sessions to choose from for each age group. My children love the sessions and look forward to them each week. I would highly recommend TR Basketball Academy to anyone wanting to start out on their basketball journey and get some amazing friendships as part of the package.

My son has been going to TR academy since he was 3 years old. He loves all the coaches, drills and games and has progressed every year. The coach/kid ratio is really good and it’s really great value. The summer and mid-term camps are also really cool.

Perhaps the single most important decision my parents made for me as a young child was to enrol me into the TR Academy. For a young person's development, both on and off the court, the TR Academy is a must. It was here that I made friends I still have to this day, learned valuable life lessons and progressed as a basketball player. I was challenged in a positive environment to discover that I could push myself further than I ever thought possible. Which as a result, helped me to represent my county and country along with playing in the National and Super League. This was all possible due to the foundation I gained at an early age at the TR Academy.

I started at U9 level in TR Academy on Sunday morning. From here my love for basketball was born. I played my entire underage career with Tolka, had great fun, learned a lot of new skills, had some fantastic coaches and made lifelong friends along the way. I'm currently a member of the NL team and it is brilliant to see such great talent coming through the Academy, on both the girls and the boys’ side. The future of the club is very bright!

My 2 sons love the camp and have really enjoyed the basketball classes both training with teammates. My older son has graduated to playing matches, which he really loves. They can't wait to get back to it as soon as the lockdown is lifted!

My son has been attending Praha's basketball classes since he was 4. He always enjoyed it, and watching him play and train, so did I. And since he turned 9 he moved to the teams. Watching him and his team play in their Tolka Rovers kit on Saturdays or Sundays has been just fantastic, and his basketball skills certainly carried over to his other sports. Praha is an excellent coach, with a calm demeanour. I can recommend TR highly.

All 4 of my children started TR Academy the same year they started school. This academy has a great balance of teaching skills and having fun and gave them all a love for basketball and they have continued to play right through their teenage years.

Over the past 10 years, my 2 have sons have grown into very strong, well rounded individuals with a passion for basketball. They started off at an early age, in the academy learning new skills and techniques that enabled them to make fast decisions as individuals, as well as being part of a team. Praha and his dedicated coaches took them under their wings and taught them self-discipline and determination. They grew with the academy and developed further by joining the basketball club. Now not only do they use these skills on the court but apply them to everyday life! Thanks Praha!

Our kids have been at the basketball training and camps for a number of years now. They have great fun playing sports there and have made new friends outside their school group, mixing with boys and girls. The coaching is of a great standard, they're patient with the kids and it does bring them along. The fees are also good value with a number of options for drop off and collection. I recommend them without hesitation.

Praha runs an absolutely superb Basketball Academy. My son has been going for years and really loves it. The environment Praha has created is a credit to him and his team - welcoming, structured and lots of fun! The Camps that Praha runs throughout the year are also excellent, with lots of variety for all kids! My son cannot wait to return when everything gets back to normal, and I would have no hesitation recommending TR Basketball Academy to anyone.

The standard of coaching at the TR Academy is extremely high and is one of the many reasons why it produces talented players that go on to play basketball at the highest level. Almost 20 years have passed and I am still playing basketball at the highest level in Ireland and some of my best friends are from the TR Academy. The Academy was crucial to my skill development as a young basketball player. It prepared me extremely well for when it was time to start playing real basketball games in leagues. I also made a lot of friends from it, some of which I’m still close with to this day. The coaches were always very clear and patient with young players and made playing basketball welcoming, enjoyable and something I looked forward to every week.

I thoroughly enjoyed my underage basketball experience at the TR academy. In my opinion the academy is one the best around! It’s always well organised, with some great coaches who have lots of knowledge of the game. I would highly recommend it to players of all skill levels.

My son, Ezekiel, joined this basketball academy a couple of years ago to learn how to play the game and I must say that he really enjoyed it. The training is fun and on point. He knows how to play basketball now and made lots of friends.
