Our basketball classes are available to all primary school and pre-school aged children with a very flexible schedule to suit the 9-5 working parents as well as those who may need more flexibility in their days. The main objective of our basketball lessons are for the children to find a love for sport, give kids a strong base with a variety of activities that allow them to develop their fine motor skills, gain new friends and teach them the fundamentals of basketball. We have also been the starting point for countless number of players who have represented Ireland and Dublin teams on the men’s and women’s sides in both underage and senior representative teams.

TR Academy continues to be the only basketball school in Dublin 3, 7, 9, 11 area that graduates all its female and male players directly into a Basketball Club that competes in the Dublin Ladies Basketball Board (DLBB) & Dublin Men’s Basketball Board (DMBB). TR Academy graduates its players into the Tolka Rovers Basketball Club, which is the only club that caters to both boys and girls in areas of Glasnevin, Finglas, Ballymun, Phibsborough, Coolock, Whitehall, Santry, Drumcondra, Fairview, Beaumont, Cabra.

We have recently expanded to offer private basketball teaching either in a 1 on 1 setting or to include up to 3 players at a time to 1 head coach. The private basketball classes allow individuals who have aspirations beyond playing in the local Dublin basketball leagues, who are ready and willing to think, act & behave with the mind set of an elite basketball player. The private lessons will help individual understand the nuances of the game what are often overlooked when training in a team capacity, increase the players basketball IQ, improve their individual skill and fitness as well as any other aspects of the game they feel needs the biggest improvement.
